Diplomatic relations between Turkey and Romania was established in 1878. Our Embassy is located in a central district of Bucharest and consists of 3200 m 2 of land in historical residence and chancellery buildings. The building, which was used as residence, was built at the beginning of the 1900’s and was purchased by us in October 1934 at the time of Ambassador Hamdullah Suphi Tanrıöver with the approval of Atatürk.

Our Embassy has Armed Forces Attaché, Commercial Counseling, Training Consultancy, Security Consultancy, Religious Services Consultancy and TIKA Representation.

In Romania we have our Consul General Consul, as well as the Honorary Consulates in Cluj-Napoca and Age cities. Our citizens living in Romania are provided with passport, population, military service and notary public services by the Consulate General of the Embassy and Consulate General of the Constitution and visa procedures for citizens of the country subject to visa are carried out at the entrance to the country.
