History

The first known inhabitants of Kırklareli all Thrace as in the region are the Thracians . The Persian nobleman who set up a great empire extending to Greece in the 6th century BC The area where the Persians were handed over goes into the domination of the Macedonians under the leadership of Alexander the Great in the 4th century BC and Romans in the 2nd century BC . In 1924, the deputy of Kırkkilise Dr. Fuad Bey (Umay) has made a proposal to change the name of the city to “Kırklareli” by stating that one of the negotiations in the parliament passes the name of the city in public language and in unofficial use as Kırklareli or Kırklarından. the name change proposal was accepted in the Grand National Assembly on December 20, 1924 and the relevant law was put into effect by being published in the Official Gazette on 14 January 1925 [4] . It was changed because the word “forty” was passed by the word of the church.

Economy
